Our crystals need regular cleansing (cleaning). Crystals pick up energy from people who touch them & from the different energy that is around them. When crystals work with us to give us their energy they then need re-energising themselves. I like to call this “charging them up” this means we are helping them to have their full powerful energy supply, bringing them back to their 100% pure selves, their highest potential. I like to cleanse my Crystal after each time I use it. If its jewellery I’ve worn that day or a Crystal I have meditated with or used to help me focus at work. I like to cleanse it as soon as I am finished.
Washing crystals: We can wash them in a bowl of salt water; use purified water and rock salt, just like the water from the ocean. Crystals can also be washed under tap water, hold the thought in your mind “I wish to cleanse you completely and re-charge your energy now, thank you” by holding this thought in your mind your Heart this it is called an intention, when you make a clear intention it sets the tone for what is specifically needed.

Ocean bath: This one needs to be done carefully as you don’t want your crystal to wash away of get lost in the sand, a suggestion is to place your crystals in a material bag, even a sock, that way the beautiful ocean water energy can surround them and they are all contained for you to swirl them around in the beautiful ocean waters safely. They love this and then lay crystals out on the sand (away from the waves) for further replenishing. Here they get to be with the shell energy too.
Full moon: Place them outside on a plate or special tray under the full moon. Crystals love to be under the beautiful energy of the full moon, we call it a full moon bath, this is very powerful in recharging your Crystals energy.
Stars & Planets: Place your crystals outside under the stars & planets, the twinkling energy of the stars re-energises and awakens the crystals so well, they feel great.
Sunshine: For 2-3 hours you can put your crystals out in the morning or afternoon sunlight, the suns rays shine down into the crystal bringing out the old energy and waking up its fresh energy. Mid day sun is too hot for our crystals….ouch!!!! The sun wakes up the rainbow light & energy in all. There are a few Crystals that can fade in the sun so not long for these ones. Amethyst, Fluorite, Blue/Pink Aragonite.
Smudging: is a Native American Indian ritual & Aboriginal ritual. Native Americans use white sage sticks and Aborigines use eucalyptus branches. They light the tip of the sage & blow out the flame so the branch is just smoking, the smoke floats around the crystal, which clears away any negative energy or old energy so the crystal can be fully charged again.
Sound/Vibration: Crystals also love sound, so if you play an instrument play to your crystals to cleanse them, the vibration of a musical note hums to a perfect healing vibration for them to feel alive to. Crystals love to hear drums, bells, cymbals or even us singing a high or low note. Try it. As you sing or play your instrument the sound is made by vibration. The sound waves connect in with the energy of the Crystals to recharge & release the old energy. Raising the energy of the Crystal beautifully. This is a way to raise our energy and the energy of our crystals. Have you ever noticed how good you feel after you have sung a song, played music? Have you ever noticed how happy other people become when they hear great music or a wonderful song? It lifts their feelings inside and they feel harmonised because it raises their energy/vibration. This raises our energy & raises the Crystals energy. Crystals love a good “Om” chant too.
Earth love: Place your crystals outside on the earth. Dirt, grass, sand, tree trunks, rocks or pot plants. The crystals just love to be on the earth where they grew it’s just like being at home. Replenishing and refreshing.
